Alabama salvages third game with Arkansas, 5-0

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Powered by seven shutout innings from Spencer Turnbull, Alabama beat Arkansas, 5-0, on Saturday to salvage the third game of a series at Tuscaloosa.

Brett Booth homered and drove in two runs to help the Crimson Tide to the victory.

Turnbull improves to 4-1 on the season. He gave up five hits and struck out four. Arkansas starter Randall Fant falls to 2-1, giving up two runs on five hits and one strikeout in three innings on the mound.

The Crimson Tide improves to 20-13, and 8-4 Southeastern Conference play.

Arkansas (23-9, 8-4) returns to action at Baum Stadium on Tuesday against New Mexico to start a two-game series. First pitch is 6:35 p.m.
