Artists shine at Mayfair Festival in Norman

The 40th annual Mayfair Festival of the Arts in Norman featured more than 100 artists and craftsmen, a children’s art tent, live entertainment, food and games.

More than 100 artists and craftsmen from across the state and region were showcased at the 40th annual Mayfair Festival of the Arts sponsored by the Assistance League of Norman.

The event on Saturday and Sunday at Andrews Park featured artists’ booths, a children’s Adventures in Art tent, a 5k run, entertainment, games and food. A highlight is a juried art show.

Topping this year’s art winners were Dan and Elaine Nealy, best in show.

Winners in categories included painting — Hank Grant, first, Stephen Smith, second, and Tim Kinney, third; photography— Mark Williams, first, Don Karner, second; fine jewelry — Louanne Duckworth, first, Andy Marion, second, and Laura Anderson, third; sculpture — Rebecca Livingston, first, Dan Harris, second, and Cindy Fugua, third; and graphics — Jeff Duerksen, first and second.
