Artrell Woods hauls in spotlight for Cowboys

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State insiders swear that Artrell Woods is unrelated to Rashaun and D'Juan Woods.

On a football field with Bobby Reid, Dantrell Savage, Adarius Bowman, Keith Toston and Brandon Pettigrew, Artrell Woods was the star of the show Saturday in Oklahoma State's Orange-White Game at Boone Pickens Stadium.

The Woods brothers, Rashaun and D'Juan, caught a combined 456 passes for the Cowboys the previous seven seasons. Their eligibility finally has expired. But OSU is not out of the receiving Woods yet.

Artrell had four catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns for the Whites, who beat the Orange 35-27 in a woolly and wild spring game that spotlighted returning stars but also revealed blossoming youngsters.

Like Woods.

"We know we can count on him for next year,” said State offensive coordinator Larry Fedora.
