Assault claims life of Oklahoma City man

Police say Kerwin McFadden, 39, has died of injuries he suffered in an assault early Sunday in front of his northwest Oklahoma City house.

Oklahoma City homicide detectives are investigating a homicide after police were notified a patient at Integris Baptist Medical Center died from injuries he suffered in an assault earlier this week.

The assault had not been reported to police, Master Sgt. Gary Knight said.

Investigators learned the victim, Kerwin McFadden, 39, of Oklahoma City, was assaulted early Sunday in the street in front of his home in the 3300 block of NW 14, Knight said.

McFadden was driven to Deaconess Hospital in a private vehicle and then transferred to Baptist, police said.
