Asteroid's Friday Earth flyby historic

From weather.yahoo.com: While there is no chance that asteroid 2012 DA14 will hit Earth this Friday, the asteroid's flyby is history-making for several other reasons.

Scientists think the "Tunguska Event" over Siberia in 1908 was caused by a 100-foot (30 m) asteroid. This space rock exploded in midair, leveling trees across 825 square miles (2,137 square km) in the region.
