Here is a summary of how nine children allegedly suffered under DHS care. The allegations are from a federal lawsuit filed Wednesday. The children are identified in a lawsuit by their initials.

•D.G. is 5 months old. A DHS worker dropped him in September while trying to carry him and another infant at an overcrowded DHS shelter in Oklahoma City. D.G. was not taken to the hospital until the next day. He suffered a fractured skull.

C.S. is 11 months old. She has been to 17 different places since coming into DHS custody when she was a few days old. DHS once placed her in an unsafe foster home where she was thrown against a wall. She suffered a fractured skull.

J.B. is 16 months old. At the Oklahoma City DHS shelter, he suffered burns to both feet after being scalded during a bath. The injury to his left foot was so severe his skin peeled off.

A.P. is 4. DHS failed to check out a foster parent's background, finding out after A.P. and a sister were in the home that the foster parent had a prior history of child abuse.
