There are 400 documented cases of epidermal nevus syndrome, and 50 documented cases of children who have the syndrome along with hypophosphatemia rickets.

The syndrome includes two or more of the following: bone malformation, eye problems and neurological problems.

Fletcher's right eye has never fully opened, and he has serious bone malformation.
