Brother grizzly bears Will and Wiley saw their shadows when they came out for breakfast on Monday, which was Groundhog Day, zoo spokeswoman Candice Rennels said.

"I think they’re fine with six more weeks of winter,” Rennels said. "They’re from Alaska, so they like that sort of weather.”

Will and Wiley enjoyed a breakfast of bananas, apples, hard-boiled eggs and peanut butter in front of more than 50 people gathered to watch the annual Groundhog Day event at the zoo. In addition to the grizzly bears, other Oklahoma City Zoo animals to predict the fate of spring have included bison and pot-bellied pigs.
