ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Atromitos held visiting Olympiakos to a 0-0 draw in the Greek league Sunday, just the second time in 19 rounds that the defending champion failed to win.

Both teams missed several chances to score, especially in the closing minutes of a fast-paced game.

Olympiakos still has a comfortable lead in the standings, eight points ahead of PAOK which was lucky to escape with a 1-0 win against visiting Panetolikos, the only other team that has held Olympiakos to a draw this season, back on Sept. 22nd. Atromitos is third, nine points behind PAOK.

Also Sunday, Panthrakikos beat local rival Xanthi 2-1, Asteras beat Platanias 3-0 and Apolllon thrashed Giannena 4-0.
