The AT&T Cotton Bowl, which joins the College Football Playoff rotation this season, announced Wednesday that the Jan. 1 game is sold out.
Since the bowl’s move to AT&T Stadium in Arlington in 2010, the game has been a sellout for six consecutive games. The inclusion in the playoff has also generated additional interest, officials said.
“You can sense the excitement from our passionate fan base,” Amy Scott, the vice president of ticket sales and services said in a statement.
AT&T Stadium will also host the first College Football Playoff championship game on Jan. 12. Missouri defeated Oklahoma State in last season's Cotton Bowl 41-31.
The AT&T Cotton Bowl will host a College Football Playoff semifinal in the 2015-16 season (Dec. 31).
