Attention! Attention! It's only a drill Published: April 15, 2013

DURANT -- Loud sirens, a medical helicopter overhead, loudspeakers blaring, emergency vehicle lights flashing and more will be very noticeable Wednesday afternoon at Durant High School.

The Durant Daily Democrat reports that the local fire department, high school officials and first responder crews from throughout the area will be participating in an emergency exercise.

Word of the event is being provided in advance because the the size and scope of what will be happening and its location in proximity to U.S. 75.
