Devon Thomas made an appearance in Tulsa County District Court on Monday, with a preliminary hearing continued until Aug. 18.

Thomas, who is not currently listed on Oklahoma State's roster and isn't a part of the team at the time, pleaded not guilty to felony charges of shooting with intent to kill, robbery with a firearm and first-degree burglary. Thomas' attorney Steve Hjelm said Monday that he hopes "we get this all behind us," and that he's anxious to question witnesses in the case.

Mike Gundy’s stance – to allow the legal process to run its course before making a decision on Thomas’ future with the Cowboys – is the “is the responsible thing for him to do,” says Hjlem.
