WAYNOKA — An 18-year-old El Reno man died after an accident on an all-terrain vehicle at Little Sahara State Park, officials said Monday.
Emergency responders were dispatched about 4:15 p.m. Saturday to the park's dunes, said Sandy Pantlik, state Tourism and Recreation Department spokeswoman.
Clayton William Reuter crashed at the bottom of a dune, she said. He was wearing a helmet. His younger brother was with him at the time, though the accident didn't involve him.
Services are pending at Wilson Funeral Home in El Reno.
The state medical examiner has ruled the manner of death an accident and the cause multiple blunt force injuries, an official said Monday.
The park south of Waynoka in northwest Oklahoma features more than 1,600 acres of dunes that range in height from 25 to 75 feet. It is a destination for dune buggy and ATV riding, according to travelok.com.
