AUBURN, Ala. (AP) — Peyton Barber's biggest battle these days is for a spot in Auburn's tailback rotation.

The redshirt freshman has already been dealing with a learning disability. Barber said Tuesday he was diagnosed with ADHD in high school and dyslexia a few months ago.

He says he was tested after visiting an academic counselor because sometimes he'd find himself reading words backward.

The redshirt freshman says he told Auburn coach Gus Malzahn and offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee on his official recruiting visit that he had ADHD.

It made learning the playbook even more challenging initially than it is for the typical freshman.

Now, Barber is in the mix with Cameron Artis-Payne and Corey Grant as the Tigers seek a replacement for Heisman Trophy finalist Tre Mason.
