Oklahoma quarterback Trevor Knight is one of 40 top college quarterbacks — a group that includes Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston and Baylor’s Bryce Petty — who are working as counselors at the Manning Passing Academy at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La.
Mike Detillier is a Louisiana-based sports journalist and football analyst, and he’s spent this week covering the Manning Passing Academy at Nicholls State University in Thibodeax, La.
Detillier joined 104.5 ESPN radio in Baton Rouge on Friday to discuss the Manning camp, and had some high praise for Knight.
“Yesterday, I was on the side of the field with Trevor Knight from Oklahoma,” Detillier said. “I walked with him for a little while, and I told him, ‘Man, you picked up where you left off in the Sugar Bowl against Alabama.’ He was very impressive throwing the football. Great athlete. Threw the football extremely well.”
