LAWTON — Authorities have identified the inmate who was stabbed to death at a Lawton prison.

Lawton police say 25-year-old Sonny Limpy was killed in the attack this week. A local television station reports that Limpy was stabbed twice in the face, twice in the left wrist and once in the chest. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Police are investigating and say they have five suspects in the attack. Lawton police say the attackers used a homemade knife.

Limpy was serving a life sentence without parole for first-degree murder. Authorities say Limpy was convicted in the death of a homeowner in Oklahoma City. Police say Limpy shot the man then fled to Mexico where he was eventually arrested.
