NORMAN — A woman who was found unresponsive in a Cleveland County jail cell Sunday has been identified, authorities said.

Rebekah Reed, 36, was booked into the Cleveland County jail shortly before 10:30 p.m. Saturday on an outstanding Moore municipal warrant, said Meghan McCormick, Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman.

The jail’s medical staff deemed Reed fit to be jailed, and she was found unresponsive about 4:30 a.m. Sunday, McCormick said.

Paramedics took Reed to a Norman hospital, where she was pronounced dead, McCormick said.
