Authorities identify man found dead in Tahlequah

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is calling the death suspicious.

Authorities report the man whose body was found Sunday inside a vehicle on the Northeastern State University campus was Anthony George Scott, 48, of Tahlequah.

The school's police department got a 911 call about 4:15 p.m. reporting the body, which was in a parked vehicle near Grand Avenue in a lot northeast of the football stadium, according to a news release from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

The state medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The OSBI is investigating the incident as a suspicious death.
