Last race: Mercedes' Nico Rosberg won the Monaco Grand Prix on May 24 for his second straight victory and third in a row in the event.
Fast facts: Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton has three victories in the first six races and leads the standings, 10 points ahead of Rosberg. Hamilton won in Australia, China and Bahrain. Rosberg also won in Spain, and Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel took the Malaysia race. ... Hamilton won in Montreal for McLaren in 2007, 2010 and 2012. ... The course sits on Ile Notre-Dame, a landfill island off the southern bank of the St. Lawrence River. The track was renamed Circuit Gilles Villeneuve after the Canadian was killed during qualifying for the 1982 Belgian Grand Prix. Villeneuve's son, Jacques, won the 1997 F1 title.

Last year: Australia's Richie Crampton raced to his first Top Fuel victory. Cruz Pedregon won in Funny Car, Jeg Coughlin in Pro Stock, and Andrew Hines in Pro Stock Motorcycle.
Last event: Jack Beckman won the Kansas Nationals on May 24, beating 66-year-old John Force in the Funny Car final. Richie Crampton won in Top Fuel, and Erica Enders topped the Pro Stock field.
Fast facts: Ron Capps leads the Funny Car standings, five points ahead of Matt Hagan. They each have two victories this year. ... Antron Brown has the Funny Car lead, and Enders tops the Pro Stock standings. Brown has won twice this year, and Ender has three victories in the first eight events.
