Autopsy reports shows Edmond girl intoxicated during fatal fall
Casey Lauren Cooke, 22, of Edmond, was intoxicated when she fell to her death from an Oklahoma University building, according to the autopsy report released Tuesday.
NORMAN — A 22-year-old Edmond girl was intoxicated when she fell to her death from an Oklahoma University building, according to the autopsy report.

Casey Lauren Cooke's cause of death was blunt force trauma to her head and chest, and acute ethanol intoxication, a “significant medical condition,” according to the report written by Dr. Chai Choi. The manner of her death is listed as an accident.
The toxicology report shows her blood alcohol level was 0.19 percent, and a level of 0.20 percent of ethyl alcohol from the vitreous humor.
Cooke's body was found below a fire escape on the east side of Evans Hall shortly before 3 a.m. June 3. Emergency medical personnel administered CPR but were unable to revive her.
The autopsy report notes that students were known for climbing the building. Family members previously said Cooke and her friends frequently climbed the fire escape, finding it a good place to reflect.
The fire escape was not found to be faulty, but workers removed fire escapes from the east and west sides of Evans Hall after a review of the building by OU officials and the Norman Fire Department showed the structure met fire codes without the escapes, Bishop said.
