BOISE, Idaho (AP) — New Boise State coach Bryan Harsin will keep at least two assistants from the staff put together by Chris Petersen.

Athletic officials announced Tuesday that offensive line coach Scott Huff and defensive line coach Andy Avalos will return next season.

Huff will continue coaching the offensive line, while a decision will be made later on the position group for Avalos.

They are the first two assistants hired by Harsin, who was hired last week after Petersen agreed to move on to Washington.

Both have ties to Harsin.

Huff played and coached with Harsin at Boise State. Avalos was a player with the Broncos while Harsin was an assistant.

Harsin described each as excellent coaches and recruiters who have played key roles in the team's success.
