Azalea Festival has special look Published: April 2, 2013

MUSKOGEE -- Visitors to this year's Azalea Festival in Honor Park will see color high and low.

The Muskogee Phoenix reports that this year's event will include 100 banners along Okmulgee Avenue and Broadway, as well as along Honor Heights Drive.

They will be up through April during the annual festival's run. After the festival, the banners will be auctioned off.

Organizers said most of the banners are designed to reflect the theme of this year’s Azalea Parade, “Flowers We Love.”

Below, thousands of azaleas will cover the ground for visitors to enjoy.
