A baby has died in an Oklahoma City abuse case and the father is facing a homicide complaint in the death, police said.

The 2-month-old boy died Wednesday at an Oklahoma City hospital, police said Thursday.

Oklahoma City police arrested Charles Whitlow, 20, Monday on an injured child complaint, according to a police report. The baby had bruising on his right temple and what appeared to be a bite mark on his right forearm, the report stated.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed Tuesday in Oklahoma County District Court, Whitlow admitted to shaking his son and “forcefully slamming him into his baby bed.” The incident happened Monday in the 6900 block of Lyrewood Lane while the baby's mother was in the shower.
