The 2-month-old boy who was taken from OU Medical Center Wednesday has been found in Dallas, Oklahoma City police reported Sunday. The boy was taken by two adults from the hospital in Oklahoma City, where he had been taken for medical treatment.
Police Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow reported Sunday that a woman claiming to be the grandmother showed up at a Dallas hospital with the child. Police still seek the two adults who took the baby. “There's nothing criminal at this time, but we still want to talk to them,” Wardlow said.
The name of the hospital in Dallas was not released.
Police released a picture of the baby and a woman who left the hospital with a man claiming to be the baby's father.
According to the incident report, police were called about 8:40 p.m. Tuesday to a southwest Oklahoma City hotel in reference to an unresponsive baby.
The female caller told police the baby was asleep and rolled over onto his stomach while the caller was in the shower. When she came back, the baby would not wake up even when she patted his face, according to the report.
The officer noted there were no signs of abuse. The baby woke up while paramedics were taking him to the hospital. Paramedics said they took the baby to the hospital for evaluation, according to the report.
A man claiming to be the father told hospital staff the boy's name was Jacob Dominguez. The man, Michael Dominguez, and a woman left the hospital with the baby Wednesday while the baby was receiving medical treatment, police Master Sgt. Gary Knight said last week.
