Deantre Harlan was on track for a bright Division I football career at Baylor until he decided he also wanted to play basketball.
That's what brought him to Oklahoma Wesleyan and later Muskogee's Bacone College.
After a combined 13 sacks in two seasons on the football field at Bacone, Harlan is now trying to make the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent.
“At this point, I definitely think the speed of the game is the biggest difference from college and what I’ve seen here," Harlan said. “But I’m enjoying every bit of this. I’m enjoying the football and I’m enjoying St. Louis. If I keep doing everything I’ve been doing, the things that helped get me here, and just keep taking it a day at a time, I feel like I have a chance."
