TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Those five-star Alabama recruits arriving this summer will have some catching up to do with their peers.

Eight Crimson Tide signees are already enrolled, most at positions where there are vacancies.

That group includes five-star signees in offensive tackle Cam Robinson and cornerback Tony Brown.

It's too soon to gauge their chances at claiming starting jobs but coach Nick Saban says early enrollment can make a newcomer's adjustment to college "a little smoother."

The Tide's recruiting class was rated the nation's best by all the major recruiting services on Wednesday. Brown and Robinson are two of the group's most highly rated players.

The 6-foot-6, 335-pound Robinson defers to Saban when asked about his chances of replacing All-America left tackle Cyrus Kouandjio.

But, he adds, "Of course I wouldn't mind starting."
