Band offers free concert

GUTHRIE — The U.S. Air Force Band of Mid-America will offer a free concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Guthrie at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center.

The concert is under joint sponsorship by the Guthrie Chamber of Commerce and the Guthrie Lions, Kiwanis and Rotary clubs. For more information, call the chamber at 282-1947.

Class to be offered
A class on researching Oklahoma territorial records will be offered Wednesday at the Oklahoma History Center, 2401 N Laird Ave., as part of its Family History Month of programs geared toward beginning and experienced genealogists. The class, for which there is a $10 fee, begins at 11:30 a.m. and includes lunch. It will focus on finding ancestors by using the 1890 Oklahoma Territorial Census, Smith’s First Directory and other research sources.
