Bank of Oklahoma in Bethany robbed

The robber is described as a white man in his mid 30s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, 150 to 160 pounds and of medium build, the FBI reported.

BETHANY — The FBI and Bethany police are investigating a bank robbery Wednesday afternoon at a Bank of Oklahoma branch inside a grocery store.

A white man entered the Homeland Grocery store, 7101 NW 23, about 2:20 p.m. and approached a bank teller counter, the FBI reported.

The man told a teller, “This is a robbery. I have a gun. Give me all your money.” The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money in a plastic grocery bag. The man left the store on foot. No one was injured in the robbery, the FBI reported.

The robber is described as a white man in his mid 30s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, 150 to 160 pounds and of medium build, the FBI reported.

Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 290-7770. Anyone with information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the robber may be rewarded up to $2,000 from the Oklahoma Bankers Association.
