Barbara Walters neither cried nor said “Goodbye” Thursday afternoon as she taped her final co-hosting episode of “The View,” reports the New York Daily News.

The episode, which will air at 11 a.m. Friday on ABC, ends with Walters saying, “Thank you, thank you ... But who knows what the future brings? Instead of ‘Goodbye,’ say, ‘I’ll be in touch....See you later.”

The taping was sprinkled with jokes suggesting Walters could never given up being on television. Thomas J. Kelly, the show’s audience warmup comedian, joked that everyone should return on June 3 for “Barbara Walters’ grand return.”

Still, Thursday’s parade of farewell-wishers was an all-star cavalcade led by Hillary Clinton and Oprah Winfrey.
