Barons fall at Grand Rapids 6-2

Chris Minard had a hat trick, and Chris Conner added four assists as the Grand Rapids Griffins beat the Oklahoma City Barons 6-2 on Saturday in Grand Rapids, Mich.

Tanner House scored twice for the Barons in the third period, his seventh and eighth goals of the season.

Oklahoma City outshot Grand Rapids in each period and 40-31 for the game. But Griffins goalie Tom McCollum made 38 saves.

Barons goalie Yann Danis faced 31 shots, and stopped 25. Anton Lander had a pair of assists for OKC.

The Barons, who have clinched a spot in the AHL's Calder Cup playoffs, face Hamilton at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Cox Center.
