Oklahoma City wears its blue road uniforms at home for the first time

Oklahoma City was wearing its road blue sweaters Friday night against Rockford.

It was the first time the Barons have ever worn their road uniforms for a regular season home game.

The Barons were wearing blue because the IceHogs traveled only with their white uniforms on their current road trip. Rockford plays in San Antonio on Saturday night and requested that the IceHogs bring their white uniforms for the game. San Antonio is wearing special uniforms to celebrate the franchise's 10th season in the AHL.

OLD FOES WITH NEW PLAYERS

The Barons have beaten Abbotsford three of four times this season. But the last time the two teams met (a 4-2 Oklahoma City loss on Nov. 19), Oklahoma City had five players in its lineup that have since been recalled to Edmonton or are currently injured.

However, Abbotsford is in a similar situation. The Heat has seven players who were not in their lineup Wednesday against the Texas Stars that faced the Barons on Nov. 19. Abbotsford is the farm team of the Calgary Flames.
