The Barons' game against San Antonio on Saturday night was stopped with 1:07 left in the first period when fans, as instructed, tossed nearly two thousand stuffed animals onto the ice following their first goal.
Barons teams officials needed several minutes to collect items from the “Teddy Bear Toss,” donations to EMSA for “Kids For Christmas.”
Referees Terry Koharski and Keith Kaval decided to play the final 67 seconds after the first intermission before the official start of the second period.
“It was a really good crowd,” said Jordan Eberle, who scored four goals and had an assist in Oklahoma City's 5-3 win. “It was a fun night. We fed off the crowd a little bit. Give San Antonio credit, too. Every time we scored they responded.”

Cynthia Hughes won a 2013 Jeep Wrangler during the second intermission. The Barons are giving away a vehicle at every Saturday home game this season.
