Barons notebook: Teddy bear 'delay'

One of 20 finalists, Hughes' guess was the closest to the number of words on the front and back pages of a newspaper without going over the correct answer of 3,281 words.

Following back-to-back wins over San Antonio, the Barons boarded a bus after Saturday's game. Oklahoma City plays the Houston Aeros at 5 p.m. Sunday in the Toyota Center.


Eberle's hat trick was the Barons' first since Colin McDonald in April 2011. ... Center Ryan Martindale, limited to just six games the first two months due to a sprained knee, returned for Saturday's game. Martindale replaced Philippe Cornet on the line with Teemu Hartikainen and team captain Josh Green. ... Backup goaltender Olivier Roy improved to 3-4-0 by stopping 23 of 26 shots. ... The Barons continue to have the AHL's top power play unit after going 2-of-5 with the man advantage.
