With the National Hockey League's trade deadline looming on Monday, Feb. 27, and the Barons' NHL parent club, the Edmonton Oilers, in 14th place in the Western Conference, rosters of both the Barons and Oilers could undergo a makeover over the next two weeks.
The Oilers already pulled the trigger on a move that affected the Barons, with forward Ryan O'Marra going to the Anaheim Ducks organization for defenseman Bryan Rodney, who played his third game Sunday with the Barons.
The Oilers figure to be much more involved at the deadline than they were even last year, when the team acquired Colten Teubert and a draft pick for Dustin Penner and traded Barons defenseman Shawn Belle for Kevin Montgomery.
Both Teubert and Montgomery have spent the majority of their time since their trades with the Barons.

For Tremblay, it was just the second game he'd missed all season. Tremblay also sat out Nov. 3 at Abbotsford. ... The Barons have allowed 29 or fewer shots in 22 of their last 23 games.
The Barons wrap up a four-game homestand at 7 p.m. Wednesday against the Texas Stars at the Cox Center. Tickets are available at the Cox Center box office.
