Scouting report: This is the first game of a best-of-five series. ... Texas won the season series 8-4. The Barons were 23-12-1 at home, Texas was 19-10-3 on the road. … Roman Horak (55 points) leads the Barons in scoring. Brad Hunt (50 points) owns the franchise record for points in a season by a defenseman. Named MVP of the Barons, team captain Anton Lander (52 points in 45 games) has returned after a call-up to Edmonton. … The Stars’ Travis Morin scored a league-high 87 points and was named AHL MVP. The high-octane Stars also have Curtis McKenzie (64 points). Colton Sceviour (64) currently is with Dallas in the NHL playoffs. ... OKC goalie Richard Bachman (26-19-9. 2.99 GAA, .908 save percentage) was in net all but three games over the final three months. … Texas’ goalie Cristopher Nilstorp (27-12-7, 2.45, .918) was the Stars’ netminder last season when the Barons won a Western Conference semifinal series.
