Plante is the second Barons defenseman called up over the weekend. Jeff Petry was promoted to the Oilers on Friday.

On Sunday, Cornet matched his goal total from the entire 2010-2011 season. An offseason of extra work has paid off as Cornet is one of the top goal scorers in the AHL. He gave the Barons a 1-0 lead with 12:06 left in the first period off an assist from Gilbert Brule. After San Antonio tied it while on the power play about eight minutes later, Ryan Keller gave Oklahoma City the lead for good with 1:41 left in the first.

Brule and Josh Green added goals in the third period.

David LeNeveu started in goal for the Barons, stopping 26 shots.

The Barons are back in Oklahoma City for a few days of practice before going back on the road for games Thursday and Saturday in Abbotsford, Canada.
