James Varnum and Ron Farrell of SixTwelve demonstrated how to assemble the rain barrel kits. The kits include a drain faucet, gutter connection and a saw to cut the hole into the downspout of the gutter to make the connection.

“Sustainable OKC, an all-volunteer organization, works to better the environment, economy, and the quality of life in Oklahoma City. We partner with other organizations within the metro to accomplish these goals, and are very excited to be part of the rain barrel workshops,” said Jennifer Alig, of Sustainable OKC.

“There will be more of these workshops held at SixTwelve and at various other locations throughout the metro,” Loveless said.

The next rain barrel workshop is scheduled for July 27 at SixTwelve.
