BARTLESVILLE — One man is dead after his pickup wrecked on a county road.

Christopher J. Carpenter, 35, of Bartlesville, died at the scene of the wreck on County Road 2706 just southwest of Bartlesville.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troopers said Carpenter was driving his pickup east on the county road about 1:45 a.m. Sunday when he failed to negotiate a curve, causing the pickup to run off the road and roll two and a half times. Carpenter was thrown from the pickup. We was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.
