Bartlesville woman arrested in series of neighborhood fires

BARTLESVILLE — A 47-year-old woman was jailed in Washington County after a series of fires were set in a downtown neighborhood.

City Fire Investigator Bill Hollander on Friday arrested Cindy Gail Daniel — who has previous convictions in Tulsa, Creek and Okmulgee counties — on arson complaints involving fires at two homes, a church, two businesses and a telephone pole.

The fire reports started Aug. 3, when a homeowner in the 300 block of Seneca Avenue discovered three small fires had been set using newspaper advertising fliers, a court affidavit states.
