BC, Wake try to avoid ACC Atlantic cellar

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — Nothing ever seems to come easy for Wake Forest — especially against Boston College.

The two worst teams in the ACC's Atlantic Division meet Saturday with the loser claiming last place all to itself.

The Demon Deacons (4-4, 2-4) have lost four of six, and only one win has been decided by more than six points.

This one also figures to be tight: since the series resumed in 2003, the margin in each game has been 10 or fewer points.

Wake Forest is two wins from bowl eligibility for the second straight year. Up next is an Eagles team that has found some confidence after snapping a five-game losing streak by beating Maryland — which previously topped the Demon Deacons.
