Beano is livid that anyone would dare leave Florida quarterback Tim Tebow off this year’s Heisman Trophy ballot.

If Tebow hadn’t led the Gators to the SEC championship, he wouldn’t have been on my ballot, either.

Had Tebow struggled against Alabama, the three empty spaces on my ballot would have been occupied by Sam Bradford, Colt McCoy and Graham Harrell.

Instead, Tebow shined and barely made my cut.

Last Sunday morning, an infuriated Beano suggested Heisman sectional representatives should take away the votes of anyone who left Tebow off the ballot.

There’s a big, beautiful football country out there, Beano. Feel free to take a gander.

The epicenter of college football this season was the Big 12 South, not your Pittsburgh living room.

That’s why Bradford, McCoy, Harrell and Michael Crabtree were all worthy of top-three consideration.

Tebow was left off of 154 of the 904 ballots that were returned.

What do you do with the 93 voters who left Bradford off their ballots, and the 120 who left McCoy off, Beano?

They have some explaining to do, too.
