While Oklahoma State will advance to an NCAA Regional — and likely host — regardless of what happens in the Big 12 Tournament this week, Oklahoma knows the climb it faces to extend its streak of postseason appearances to seven.
The Sooners must win the conference tournament to keep their season alive.
“We’re going to do our best to make a run at that, I’ll tell you,” Oklahoma coach Pete Hughes said. “We’ve got a team that’s pretty motivated right now.
“It’s winner-take-all. You look at our league and everyone’s got a shot to win that thing. It might as well be us. I’m showing up Wednesday to win it and I’ve got a motivated group of guys that are going to show up with the same sentiment.”
After Saturday’s 8-1 win over OSU, Oklahoma (28-27, 8-16 Big 12) needs one win in the Big 12 Tournament to avoid its first under-.500 season since 2003.
BIG 12 BRACKET FINALIZED

As previously announced, top-seed Oklahoma State will play No. 8 Oklahoma at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Their side of the bracket also includes Texas and Texas Tech, who play at 7:30 p.m.
