With OSU post Lindsey Keller missing her second consecutive game with a head injury and starting guard Brittney Martin in foul trouble against OU, Cowgirl coach Jim Littell needed to rely on two sparingly used reserves in Kamri Anderson and LaShawn Jones.

Both responded, with Anderson playing 15 minutes and recording two points, one assist and one block and Jones totaling two points, two rebounds and a block in eight minutes.

“I thought both of them did a great job,” Littell said. “Kamri came in and she made some nice plays, got the ball where it needed to be. She gave us some versatility that she could guard some of their guards. She hasn't played much this year, and she stepped up at a big time.”

OSU SLOWS DOWN GRIFFIN IN ROUND 2

In the first Bedlam matchup, OU center Nicole Griffin dominated in the paint, tallying 21 points on 9-of-13 shooting.

She wasn't nearly as effective Saturday, as OSU's inside defense held her to 12 points while making just five of her 11 shots.

“We tried to force her further out and get her set up about six or seven feet from the basket,” Littell said. “We let her catch way too low in Norman. I thought Kendra Suttles did an outstanding job on not allowing her to get low. LaShawn came in and did a nice job, too.

“We worked hard on that, and the kids carried out the game plan.”
