Oklahoma State outscored OU by 20 points in the second half, routed the Sooners 83-62 and created a regular-season Bedlam split Saturday at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

The Sooners missed 12 of their first 13 field-goal attempts to open the game, allowing OSU to take a 23-4 lead only eight minutes into the first half.

From that point until halftime, Oklahoma hit 10 of 15 shots, scored 29 points and entered the break trailing by just one.

Oklahoma State opened the second half, though, on a 10-2 run from which the Sooners couldn't recover.

“We didn't come out with the fight we had in the first half,” said junior guard Morgan Hook. “We just kinda came out there and thought it was gonna fall into our hands.

“We didn't start the (half) with the same fire we had in the middle of the first half.”

Oklahoma (19-8, 9-6 Big 12) topped Oklahoma State 80-61 when the teams met Feb. 10 in Norman. Since then, the Sooners have dropped three of their last four contests.
