Bedlam football: Sean McDonough, Chris Spielman and Shannon Spake to call Bedlam game

Sean McDonough, Chris Spielman and sideline reporter Shannon Spake will be calling their first game in Oklahoma this season and their first Bedlam game.

Sean McDonough, Chris Spielman and sideline reporter Shannon Spake will be calling their first game in Oklahoma this season and their first Bedlam game. McDonough was a mainstay in the state in 2011, calling three OU games and three OSU games, and McDonough and Spielman called the OU-Texas Tech game last season in Lubbock, Texas.

McDonough, 51, a former Boston Red Sox announcer, is the son of Boston Globe sports columnist Will McDonough. Spielman, 48, was an All-American linebacker at Ohio State and played 11 seasons in the NFL. Spake, 37, a Florida Atlantic graduate, is best known for her work as a NASCAR correspondent for ESPN.
