— Javen Henson hit two of Oklahoma's four home runs to lead the sixth-ranked Sooners to a 11-1 run-rule softball victory over rival Oklahoma State on Wednesday at Cowgirl Stadium.

Henson homered in the second and fourth innings, upping the Sooners' team total to 61 this season.

“We talked about not being too successful playing here in the last couple of years and walking in as an underdog,” OU coach Patty Gasso said. “We were really focused and determined and the result was that our hitting was contagious. When that happens to this lineup, it's really fun to watch.”

Jessica Shults connected for her 10th homer this season in the first inning, a three-run shot to right field. Brittany Williams later added her own three-run homer in the third inning.

Keilani Ricketts (19-4) picked up her 77th career victory, moving her atop the OU career victories chart. She struck out eight, walked one and allowed just one hit.

Kat Espinosa (10-8) took the loss for the Cowgirls, who scored their lone run in the bottom of the first with the aid of two Oklahoma errors.

Oklahoma (33-5, 9-2 Big 12) now leads the Bedlam series 72-70 and has won 11 of the last 14 in Stillwater.

Julie Ward had the lone hit for Oklahoma State (18-16, 2-6).

Oklahoma travels to College Station this weekend for a three-game set with No. 17 Texas A&M. Oklahoma State hosts Iowa State for a three-game set beginning Friday.
