Before the Game

While looking over my photos from the last month or so at various games, I noticed that I forgot to turn in some pictures.

Almost every game I cover begins with a similar schedule. An American flag is brought in or displayed, the national anthem is played, and then the teams or  individuals are introduced to the crowd.

I generally shoot a few photos of this, but by the time I transmit photos for the next day’s paper these pictures tend to get lost in the shuffle.

There is generally a spotlight involved, sometimes smoke as well.
