Baylor coach Art Briles: "We're not going to let this deal beat us up, because it would be easy to do that, and I don't like doing easy things. We're going to do the tough thing. We're going to stand and be proud and look at what happened over the season ... we're going to go fight hard to win the bowl game."

Baylor safety Byron Landor: "We did not start off as fast as we needed to. We got a turnover early, but we did not use it to our advantage. We did not get the momentum off of it."

Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin: "The faster we move, the better we play. We have got a lot of speed on our team ... we have got playmakers. You get the ball in their hands, and they can do things. That is what we were doing later in the game."

Baylor defensive tackle Phil Taylor: "We have got to start faster. Third and fourth quarter, we started to get going, but we have got to start faster. We cannot let a good team like that get up quick."
