NORMAN — The Sullivan Family Concert in December netted about $17,000 in donations to the Women’s Resource Center in Norman, Elizabeth Sullivan said.

For the 15th year in a row, Elizabeth and six other family members — all acclaimed performers in their own right — had a pre-Christmas concert to benefit the organization, which serves victims of domestic violence.

The Dec. 22 show was free, but donations to the Women’s Resource Center were encouraged.

"People were very generous this year,” Elizabeth Sullivan said.

"The concert went well despite a few last-minute complications getting ready for the show. It worked out in the long run and we made it one more year.”

The biggest complication was an airport delay for eldest daughter, KT Sullivan, an acclaimed cabaret singer from New York. Stuck in a Boston airport on Dec. 22, KT finally managed a flight to Fort Smith, Ark., where a nephew picked her up and drove her to Norman just in time for the show.

"She got here at 7:08 (p.m.) and the show was set to start at 7 p.m.,” her mother said.

KT performed in the clothes she arrived in, her luggage was still in Boston. "She always told me she has a philosophy of traveling in clothes she can perform in, because you never know what can happen. It certainly was true this year,” Elizabeth Sullivan said.

Also performing in this year’s show were KT’s sisters, Heather and Stacy, both accomplished performers from California; Tim Sullivan, a professional songwriter, singer and guitarist from Colorado; Robin Brooks Sullivan, a professional singer and actress from Blanchard, and Pat Sullivan, a Vian doctor who performs locally. Joining the group was pianist James Followell of New York.
