No. I still like the Lakers over the Clippers. For one thing, the Lakers are old, but the Clippers' stars are injury-prone. CP3 and Griffin, man, I don't know. I really like the Lakers' addition. Jamison, too, don't forget.

Will Penn State impose its own death penalty?

I don't see it. I know people like me have called for it, but that's awfully severe.

Don't know if you realized this, but when you tweeted out your "Penn State should self-impose death penalty" link last night, for about 20 minutes it went to a blank page with a date in 1969. Not easy to tell if there was a bad link or a statement about not letting the program get too big before it started. Congrats on the most thought provoking bad link/error ever tweeted!

I don't know anything about it. Did it eventually work? I'm afraid I'm a little lost on Twitter.

If you had to pick Harper or Trout to start a team with, who would you choose?

I think Trout. I like them both, but Harper always seems to come with a little drama, even when it's not of his own doing. So let's go with Trout.

Favorite Texas city?

Great question. Let's see, I like Fort Worth and Lubbock. Not crazy about Austin or Houston. El Paso, no. Waco, no. Dallas is great, but I have to go with San Antonio. Love San Antone.

Does Wes Lunt start all 12 games?

Good question. I might have answered this differently in the past week or so, I don't know, but I'll say yes. I think OSU will give Westin every chance to succeed, and with that offensive culture, there are lots of reasons to think he will. So let's say yes.

With the fantasy football drafts right around the corner, what player are you taking #1?

I don't play fantasy football. Never have. So I don't even really know all the parameters. But I can tell you this. The best player in the National Football League is Aaron Rodgers. He will have another monster season.

What are the Cowboys' toughest 3 games?

Toughest? Well, at OU, at KSU, West Virginia or Texas at home, I'd say. But three most important are probably WVU, Texas and at Arizona. Look at it this way. OSU has only five road games -- Arizona, KU, KSU, OU, Baylor. Cowboys should be favored in three of them. Win those three, then win their home games as heavy favorites (ULL, Savannah State, Iowa State, Tech), and that's seven. So three games are left -- TCU, WVU and Texas. Win two of those three, and that's 9-3. A heck of a year.

The Thunder news has slowed down. What about the contracts?

I think it will stay slow. Serge and Harden are headed to London, and I'll bet their agents are, too. So I think any possible extension(s) would come later. Into September or even October. Remember, Thabo's contract in a similar situation (other than salary) went right up to the season opener deadline.

Why do you think so many people still don't trust Landry Jones? The man has some amazing numbers at OU and if he has a solid year he could almost break the record for most career passing yards in NCAA history.

Well, Landry's numbers and records don't particular impress me -- they are the result of playing four years and playing in this kind of offense. But I don't know why people don't trust Jones. I still think he's a very good quarterback. Exceptionally good. Good enough to lead the Sooners all the way. But he's got to have help.

Jeremy Lin a good fit for the Rockets?

Anybody's a good fit for the Rockets. They don't have a roster, much less a point guard. So yeah, Lin works well for Houston. The Rockets are a total mess.

OK, great. Thanks for the questions. Talk to you next week.
